Ingredients
- 1 cup ripe bananas
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- ½ cups margarine
- ¾ cups sugar
Topping
- ½ cups chopped nuts
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons margarine or butter
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt for the dough and set aside.
Cream together the margarine, sugar and eggs. And the bananas and lemon juice and mix well.
Add in dry ingredients and mix until moistened. Then prepare the topping. Cover the banana bread with clumps of topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
Topping
Mix the sugar, flour and cinnamon together, then cut in the butter. Add in the nuts, and mix together well. Squeeze into clumps.
