Ingredients
- 1 ¼ cups flour
- ½ teaspoons salt
- ¼ cups margarine
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 0.67 cups milk
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
Directions
Heat oven to 450 degrees. In a square 9 inch pan, melt butter in oven. Remove from oven when butter is melted and bubbly. Meanwhile, measure flour, sugar, salt and baking powder in a bowl and mix. Add milk and stir together.
Flour a board or counter well and turn dough onto it. Roll dough around to coat with flour. Knead lightly about 10 times. Roll into a 9 inch square. With floured knife, cut dough in half, then cut each half into nine 4-inch strips. Dip each strip into melted butter, coating both sides. Arrange in pan. Bake 15-20 minutes until brown.
