Ingredients
- 3 ½ cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ cups warm water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Filling
- 12 ounces cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cups butter, softened
- 2 cups ham OR
- 2 cups chicken OR
- 2 cups whatever you want
- 1 ½ cups broccoli OR
- 1 ½ cups mushrooms OR
- 1 ½ cups whatever you want
- 2 cups shredded cheese
- 1 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 cup finely chopped green onions
Directions
Stir together water, sugar and yeast and let stand until creamy. Mix well, then knead in extra flour until the dough is smooth and elastic, then cover and let rise until double (or put it int a bread machine on dough cycle).
Prepare the topping.
Roll out dough to about a 13 by 17 inch rectangle. Spread the topping on the dough and top with the chopped filling ingredients. Rollup dough, pinch seam to seal. Use floss to cut into 1 inch segments. Place on lightly greased baking sheet and cover with plastic wrap. Let rise until nearly doubled. Remove plastic wrap and bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes or until lightly browned and bubbly.
Filling
Cream the butter and cream cheese together. Chop your meat and vegetable topping into fine pieces and set aside.
